How Guild of Sisters Came to Be

My sisters being their magnificent, creative selves – making, making, always making.  And wanting to share the things they made but being more interested in making than selling.  My sisters are potters, painters, gardeners, photographers, wood workers, and more...I only have 4 of them, but they are BUSY creating!

As I pondered how to go about helping my actual sisters share their wares, I looked around and realized that most of my closest friends are also makers, and my daughters are makers. I have a friend who loves making jewelry when she isn’t busy in the corporate world, another who crafts home décor out of rocks, papers, wire, and paint.  One daughter recycles plastic into various household objects and jewelry, another daughter creates wall hangings out of drywall mud and paint.

That is now, and the products are always evolving…and all are fantastic objects that anyone would be happy to have displayed in their homes.  I saw the quality of the products, the attention to detail, the beauty, the sourcing.  And thought, this must be shared.  The idea for Guild of Sisters was born.

I want to share these fantastic, varied goods with others.  I want to build a place for them to offer their creations to the world. That is Guild of Sisters.
